Roisin Fitzpatrick- Artist of the Light, contemporary Irish artist, was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1969. Roisin Fitzpatrick's art recreates and shares the beauty she discovered during a near death experience. Light is the essential element of her art. Roisin skilfully combines light with crystal and silk to create her unique style of art. Roisin currently lives in Bray, Co. Wicklow and in Lough Key, Co. Roscommon with her husband Pearse Kieran. Together they share this art with you today, under the name of Roisin Fitzpatrick-Artist of the Light.
Previously, Roisin studied in Trinity College Dublin and Universities in Switzerland, Belgium and Italy. She then worked for the United Nations, European Commission and European Bank. Her work focused on development programmes and she travelled all over Europe, the US, Japan and Mexico. Her intention was to improve the quality of life for others. Her experiences led her to believe that deeper change must start within the individual before real progress can be made at any other level.
Roisin further followed a path that reached into homeopathy. She studied, qualified and practised as a homeopath in Ireland between 1998 and 2004. Since 2004, Roisin Fitzpatrick has worked as a full time artist. Her designs are derived from her personal experiences and also inspired by sources including nature, water crystals, astronomy, cosmology, ancient cultural mythologies, pre-Celtic and Celtic heritage.
Over 400 of Roisin Fitzpatrick's designs have qualified for EU design registration and US copyright registration. Each piece of art is signed in crystal with her original trademark.
